Ernoe - you NAILED the story - kudos kudos kudos - technically spot on although I would open the shadows on the subject - also you have catchlight in the eye so I brightened it in my VF along with opening the shadows and cropping down a touch - I wish there was just a "touch" more foreground - having said that - wildlife is about story and yours is a 10+ - just outstanding!   Posted: 10/08/2026 01:21:54
Than you Butch for the advice. You always give me inspiration for adjusting the fine details.   Posted: 10/25/2026 15:48:36
Ditto what Butch said, especially more room on the bottom if possible.   Posted: 10/10/2026 12:02:03
You are right Deborah-more space should be left so that the imaginary place of the legs is rendered visible.   Posted: 10/25/2026 15:53:09
Also darkened the prey a bit   Posted: 10/14/2026 18:42:23

Beautiful capture! Detail on feathers captures the texture very well. While in my opinion darkening the prey here improves the image, I don't think the wider crop in the out of focus foreground (in this instance) improves the image.   Posted: 10/27/2026 22:19:38
