About the Image(s)
Last month, I submitted a night shot of this stadium during a fireworks show. For this month, I've selected an image taken before the fireworks began.
The Sussex County Skylands Miners are a professional baseball team with a home stadium located a few miles from our home in New Jersey. The team is named the "Miners" (not "Minors") because this area of New Jersey historically had several iron mines that supplied raw materials for weapons and cannonballs during the American Revolutionary War.

The processing on this is excellent! Good call making it B&W, and just the right amount of light on the stadium. It has much more impact and tells a better story than the original. Good job! Posted: 10/14/2026 01:01:39
Thank you I appreciate your comments especial after the local cam club gave it only 18 pts, to be honorable mention it needed 20. No matter I like image. Posted: 10/17/2026 16:38:09
It's hard when judges rule harshly against our photos. We have to keep in mind that judging in itself is very subjective, and another judge might see it completely differently. Posted: 10/18/2026 19:25:44
Nice shot I would lighten the background a little or crop more off the top. I like the B/W alot. The diagonal of the field is awsome. Maybe a zoom on the field only would be interesting? Love seeing the players on the field and the pitcher in motion. Not the year for the Dodgers. Great work again. Posted: 10/17/2026 17:35:20
