Basically just masked the background in LR and made it black. Took it to PS and did a little sharpening.

Hi Marti. I love the color and texture that you have capture. It is sharp throughout and I appreciate the variations in color which draws my eye around the frame. Selecting a black background was a good choice. It's a nitpick, but there are a few imperfections in the lower left that could be easily removed, Posted: 10/14/2026 21:37:25

Marti, well done. I love closeups of flowers and this one is delightful. Sharp where it needs to be. I would erase some of the imperfections, especially the one that is two thirds of the way up on the right side. I love the close up treatment, that you gave to the rose; while editing. The color palette, the lights & the composition made the rose interesting to the viewers. Your choice of black background is also appropriate for the floral portrait.
