About the Image(s)
In Narvik, Norway, on August 26, 2026, we visited a Wildlife Park which gave each animal an acre of space. This is the pack of arctic wolves. The challenge was setting the camera to get rid of the chain link fence in front of them. What worked was to shoot wide open, f5.6, ISO 200, 80mm, and 1/200 sec. on a brightly lit day. I thought these animals were gorgeous!

Hi Lauren, Well done in the situation of a fenced enclosure. Perhaps a vertical crop to just the 3 wolves on the right would make a good composition. Good color and exposure. Karl Posted: 10/03/2026 15:27:01
Great shot. They are indeed beautiful animals. I particularly like their eyes and penetrating stare. Given the wide open aperture there is amazing detail throughout the image including the tree bark. Posted: 10/20/2026 20:23:17
