This must be sepia month as both you and Trey have gone sepia. I like the building with all the painted flowers, but in this case I am wondering about the choice of mono. We are missing out on the bright yellow flowers, which I think is the main strength of the original image, and the bottle machine gets a bit lost against the building. So I would have tried to bring out the colours more in the original, because someone has gone to a lot of trouble to create that colourful display.   Posted: 10/12/2026 12:33:56

This is a fine image Sanford, nothing wrong with it at all. I must agree with Gordon, for my thinking, the original colour image is the stronger. The colours in the scene play such a strong part in the image, in my mind, this one is not made stronger by switching the mono / sepia. Other scenes may definitely benefit from going to mono, but I'm not so sure about this one.   Posted: 10/22/2026 10:23:01

I agree with the others about the color vs sepia. When everything is the same color tone, it is hard to determine what the main subject of the photo is, the building or the vehicle in front.   Posted: 10/26/2026 15:14:33
