About the Image(s)
Just came back from a Mongolia and Inner Mongolia (China) trip. This trip is mainly to capture the autumn scene. Inner Mongolia in September is especially popular for autumn scene viewing among Chinese people.
It was a rainy day, shot at ISO 100, f16 and 0.3 seconds, very minimal post-processing with just a crop and a tad of saturation.

Spring, this is an interesting image. I know it was a rainy, overcast day, but I felt the original looked a little flat. I adjusted the contrast, shadows, and black point to give it a bit more depth. I understand if you don't like the edit, though, since it does take away some of the soft, overcast feel of the rainy day.   Posted: 10/04/2026 13:36:52
This is a very pretty image and excellent composition. I agree with Tom that it needed a little extra "punch". I think he did a fine job of bringing your image even more to life.   Posted: 10/05/2026 13:20:27
Spring, I think this is a very nice image with excellent composition. I agree with Tom and Mike that it could benefit from a little more depth, but I feel Tom's edit pushed the processing too far. It certainly creates an eye-catching landscape image at first glance, but after spending more time with it, it begins to look less realistic. Overall, I prefer your original version because it preserves a more natural appearance.

Thank you all for your comments. I didn't push the colors too much because I wanted to convey a moody subdued rainy day feel.   Posted: 10/13/2026 23:15:53
This is an image of a strong autumn landscape. The long-exposure rushing water gives it energy, while the golden trees and mossy rocks create a rich and cohesive palette. The river's curve also leads the eye from the foreground toward the softer, misty distance. My only feedback is that the bright hazy sky draws attention away from the river. Overall, the fall colors are simply gorgeous in this cold, wet and moody image.   Posted: 10/19/2026 20:27:23
The soft, diffused light is well suited to landscape photography. The large moss-covered rock provides a useful visual anchor, while the autumn trees create a rich backdrop. The balance between the energetic foreground and the quieter background is particularly effective.
One possible improvement would be to recover a little more detail in the brightest areas of the sky.   Posted: 10/19/2026 23:45:38

I like the composition of this image although the bright spot in the water actually takes you out of the frame - this is one thing you could look at. I'm not sure how much post you did in this but several areas are quite bright and others as a bit dull so it has an unbalanced feel to it. I made a few subtle alterations so that in my opinion it hangs together a bit more   Posted: 10/20/2026 10:29:17
