About the Image(s)
This photo was taken on the shore of "Red Fish Lake", a few miles out of Stanley, Idaho, with the Saw Tooth mountain range in the background. It was captured on a Canon 90D with a 24-105mm lens at max wide angle, !SO-400, f/11, 1/500 sec, hand held. I took the highlights down, shadows up, used serious haze filtration, and increased texture, clarity, and contrast, and set color temp and tint to 5500K/+10. We were walking the shore and the lighting and sky were perfect for photographing.

Hi Jerry,
Nice and peaceful location. I like the way you reduce the glare and increased the "dark" in the far background. All in focus. Good depth created by the multiple plans. Nice focus point provided by the dead wood.
Very well done.
No suggestion for improvement.   Posted: 10/16/2026 17:31:35

Hi Jerry, I like your composition and post processing where you increased saturation, cooled it a bit, increased clarity and removed some of the haze. I also like your fallen tree leading lines. As a suggestion, lighten the pine tree shadows. It feels to me they have too much weight. Really nice scene all in all.   Posted: 10/22/2026 18:47:17
Hi Jerry, great composition, great location, only comment I could make is to remove the jagged branch on the left. Well done.   Posted: 10/22/2026 23:55:22
Hi Jerry- I love this scene, and would love to be there. I agree with the comments about glare and saturation, but might also suggest a tad more contrast or clarity in the background. The big fallen tree in the front adds weight to the image and gives it a good anchor, but I agree that the jagged ascending branch on the left detracts just bit and could be removed.   Posted: 10/23/2026 02:30:47
What a beautiful and peaceful landscape, Jerry! I particularly like how the fallen logs in the foreground add depth and lead our eyes toward the lake and majestic mountains beyond. The natural colors and lighting create a wonderful sense of tranquility. If I may offer one small suggestion, I would consider removing the protruding branch on the left, as it tends to distract from the otherwise harmonious composition. A lovely capture of nature's beauty, Jerry!   Posted: 10/25/2026 07:28:30
