About the Image(s)
This image was taken in the evening near Bethel Maine. I arrived to find on one of the covered bridge, a fisherman’s car and the other, very large highway paving equipment restricting where I could take the pictures. In post processing I cleaned up some distractions and enhanced the glow in the rafters. As always, I look forward to your comments and suggestions.
Equipment:
Camera: Fujifilm X-T4
Lens: XF15-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS
Exposure Bias: -1.67EV
Exposure: 1/70 sec
ISO: 320
Focal Length: 18.8mm (35mm equivalent: 28mm)

Hi Bradford,
Good capture of this old covered bridge. Strong lines and depth from the bridge. Nice work in getting rid of the car.
Sky highlights nicely reduced, and good recovery of the bridge details by decreasing the "shadows".
No suggestion for improvement.
Well done.

Bradford, the way you've rendered it is perfect.
I'm curious how it would look without cutting the very bottom out of the photo.

Hi Bredford, lighting great, well processed the only comment I could make is I would have liked to see the bottom of the bridge.   Posted: 10/23/2026 00:02:10

How I love covered bridges, Bradford, and this one is terrific. You took the shot at a perfect time with the sunlight coming through at a low angle on the inside rails, and the processing is excellent. I also like to see the lower part of the bridge, but the proportions of the one you posted seem just right.   Posted: 10/23/2026 02:44:07

What a charming historic covered bridge, Bradford! I particularly like the beautiful wooden structure and the warm sunlight filtering through its interior. If I were there, I might step back a little to include the entire bridge, from top to bottom and side to side, leaving some breathing space around it. I think the surrounding greenery would provide a lovely natural frame and enhance the peaceful, rustic atmosphere. Just another compositional possibility! Nicely captured, Bradford!   Posted: 10/25/2026 07:37:20
