About the Image(s)
It’s scary seeing how close planes come when taking off and landing. This was captured with an OM-1 ISO 200, F/9/ 15mm 1/200 . I was surprised that it came out as sharp as it did with the shutter sped so low. I was sitting in traffic and didn’t have much time to set anything.

Nice work, Lane. doing the exposure an composition (pardon the expression) on the fly! You captured a great photojournalistic moment. It's tough to photography through the window of a plane, and not easy to get a sharp image at a low shutter speed. Way to go!   Posted: 10/15/2026 15:20:06
I really like the composition of this image. This was truly the exact moment to capture this image. The American Eagle plane is "drawing" a perpendicular line to the plane waiting on the runway. It is very sharp! Textbook rule of thirds.   Posted: 10/15/2026 23:30:37
This looks like one of those impossible shots where something bad is about to happen. Planes do come close to each other at the airport, but your shot makes them look like we will be calling 911 soon. You captured this at just the right moment in time and did it very well for quick shot. The composition is good and the subject matter makes the viewer think. The fact that there is a field of grass in the foreground adds, in my opinion, to the visual story.
Nice shot Lane.   Posted: 10/26/2026 21:51:21

This is a great shot, and I really love the compelling sense of closeness between the airplanes. My only suggestion would be to reconsider the amount of negative space on the left. The proximity of the planes is what makes this image so interesting and creates such a strong focal point. My eye is particularly drawn to the horizontal plane, which pulls my attention a bit too far to the right. I wonder if a tighter crop might strengthen the overall composition and emphasize the relationship between the planes.   Posted: 10/29/2026 00:58:02
