About the Image(s)

My image is
Shapley
This is a simple shot of an African carving from Zambia taken at home.
I took the original {sorry I cannot locate it now but many years ago} into Topaz and applied one of the abstract filters and added the border in Photoshop.

Ian, You've created a compelling image without a clear story, leaving room for the viewer to ponder. The yellow border is a nice enhancement. I especially like the point where black meets white, very briefly in the image, creating a focal point from which the eye then can continue to explore glowing subtle flame like waves emanating outward.   Posted: 10/13/2026 21:39:29

Interesting. The eye wanders happily finding all sorts of explanations for this shape. A good idea.   Posted: 10/27/2026 15:37:04

I see a woman carrying a vase or is it simply an abstract shape. It stands out so well from the colourful background which to me suggests a beautiful sunset.   Posted: 10/27/2026 16:08:25
