I took this architectural photo this month at Denver Art Museum which was designed by famed Italian architect Gio Ponti in 1971. I converted it to black and white with Photoshop. Before the conversion I reduced the highlights and increased the shadows. I also corrected the geometric distortion caused by the fisheye lens I was using.

Interesting image, many lines but forming a good pattern, the eye is led to the centre. I like it.   Posted: 10/04/2026 13:45:22
It's a little hard to decipher, but after looking at it a while, I get it. The wall on the right is a huge mural, well lit by the skylight. Very interesting shot of fascinating architecture.   Posted: 10/04/2026 13:47:49
You did a good job of photographing this very interesting architecture. I like the crop that you made, and conversion to mono was a good choice. The colors distract. Like Somdutt said, the eye is drawn to the center stairway.   Posted: 10/19/2026 13:38:47
I love pattern pictures like this, even when it is quite hard to decipher what they are. It is perfect for mono because there is so little colour in the original. I wondered whether you should crop the left hand side to take out the light coloured triangle at the bottom because it is so much on the edge. I think if you do, that the eye is drawn more towards the converging lines of the ceiling.   Posted: 10/19/2026 13:45:48
Cropping on the left is an excellent idea.   Posted: 10/21/2026 13:43:19
