About the Image(s)
We were entertained by a dance troupe during a stopover in Cartagena, Columbia. This particular dancer caught my eye because she was very colorful
and smooth in her performance. I thought I'd try to make a dance poster of my shot. After blanking out the background I applied a high intensity color mask using Topaz studio 2. I then applied a bleach mask to blow out the border area and create the look you see here. YES the saturation is enhanced by way of the masks on purpose to draw your attention to the highly intense image.

I think your experiment with making it into a poster has worked out well. I think the open space at the upper right could serve as a background for any advertisement regarding an upcoming event. Hot colors reflect a hot and spicy dance, with lots of energy. Maybe the left side is a little bright but otherwise, congrats on a successful and creative try at altering your original.   Posted: 10/11/2026 15:23:30
I think that this was a very creative and original way of presenting this image. You have captured just enough of her to depict the intense colors and energy. Good work!   Posted: 10/13/2026 17:17:23
Well done and good idea Al. Also I like Jerry's idea as well. Marti also has a good idea, but I am not sure if it is the right combination.   Posted: 10/15/2026 22:24:32
I love the brilliant colors of the dancer! With your idea of creating a poster, I feel you are on the right track. However, printing it may be a challenge with the blown out highlights. I suggest desaturating and watch the histogram to ensure the highlights stay within the margins.   Posted: 10/25/2026 16:04:06
