About the Image(s)
I took this image last week on September 27th,
The morning was great to take this type of image, At the moment I took this picture the sun was not hitting right in the back, but 45 degrees on my right, and the light and the mist was beautiful. Love the golden light, and I accentuated in the editing process.
Please any comments Wellcome.

Martha, this is a gorgeous golden hour image. One of my monthly adventures is to scan the thumbnails on the current image page to see if any images catch my eye. Being a water and boating lover yours certainly did. This image has great color, sharpness and definition. The only negative is the sailboat masts behind the trawler. I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty to remove them. What do you think?   Posted: 10/09/2026 14:17:40
Hello Tom, Thanks for looking at my image, you did a great editing, and I was searching for this type of trawler, and yes it seems they don't come with masts, sometimes they are added later for some purposes. The reflections of the masts are there, so for me as an overall image. I like my image as it is. Saying so I also like a more cleaner image, I will just crop a little bit the sky to give more balance.

As you say, the perfect time of day for a picture such as this one. I like feel of stillness and the slowly gathering light. The masts and accompanying reflections fill in the top and bottom of the frame well.   Posted: 10/18/2026 09:46:36

I think it is a wonderful picture that transmits a lot of peace, especially because I love the blue color. I also think I prefer the boat with the masts included. In fact, I was in a kind of dilemma because I was about to suggest cropping from the bottom, however that would cut off part of the reflexion of the mast in the water.   Posted: 10/18/2026 18:12:15
The is a beautiful photo, Martha! The warmth of the colors, reflection in the water and stillness draws the viewer in. I would crop a little on top and maybe a little from the left, which would give more room on the right for the boat to travel into. Great photo - I wish I was there!   Posted: 10/18/2026 21:08:41
Calm and stillness all in one! I like the original but taking out the sail boat masts does make the boat really seem to be on it's own. I would agree crop some of the top and bottom based on Tom's edit.   Posted: 10/23/2026 20:29:07
Fabulous light, color, reflections, and detail. I prefer the masts removed because it allows the subject to stand out. I like Tom's cropping but would suggest even more from the bottom to feature the boat better.   Posted: 10/27/2026 21:16:04
