Monument Valley by Sheldon Wecker, QPSA

October 2026 - Monument Valley

About the Image(s)

This image was taken in Monument Valley, Sony A7Rv, 1/125 sec at f/8.0, iso 320, 89mm, April 2026. Edited in Lightroom Classic and Topaz Photo AI. We were just walking around looking for interesting opportunities, and I saw this arched Utah Juniper. I positioned myself so that the arch framed some of the rock formations in the valley.

You did a good job of bending that tree to frame the distant view. It all fits together well. Well spotted.   Posted: 10/18/2026 09:54:41

Great composition, it looks like a fantasy world. The bended trunk acts as a frame for the rocks at the back.   Posted: 10/18/2026 18:20:33

Great composition, lighting, and detail in both the tree and background rocks. You have a good eye for spotting nature's frame within a frame. This is a great photo - the only thing I might do is darken the sky a bit - it's a little bright and competes for attention.   Posted: 10/18/2026 21:20:11

The framing is well done. I also see an animal/creature in the photo with a beak, eye and neck. Really cool!   Posted: 10/23/2026 20:50:30

Very well done Sheldon. The detail of the Cypress and the lighting is exquisite and the framing of the iconic Monument Valley background is perfect.   Posted: 10/27/2026 21:26:40

Delightful image to see. The tree framed very well the rock formation of the Valley.   Posted: 10/28/2026 04:28:48
