About the Image(s)

Description: we had a “Catrinas” session at the studio. I chose this picture since the costume and the makeup is a little bit different from the traditional one. The illumination scheme made all the difference because the photo is practically not edited. I used 2 lateral lamps at 90?, the one at the right had a yellow gelatine.

Technical data:

Camera: Canon EOS 1500D

ISO: 100

F point: f/9

Exposure time: 1/200

Hello Carlos,

What a nice crispy detail and sharp image, beautiful for the occasion. Maybe to give a more dramatic look, I would dark a little more on her left side, or, on our right side, maybe not on her arm but on her shoulder and head area.

Well this is well chosen for the time of year. Nice and sharp with lots of detail to look at.   Posted: 10/18/2026 09:52:23

Carlos, you are definitely getting into the Halloween spirit! I like the balanced lighting and background. The subject and poise is interesting and catches your attention - as do her teeth! I like the darker arm on the right, but maybe there is too much contrast between the other arm? Well done portrait!   Posted: 10/18/2026 21:16:12

Technically, you captured the subject very well. Not to distract from your work, but I find her uglyness hard to look at. Just my bias I guess. I am not a fan of the Halloween vibe.   Posted: 10/27/2026 21:22:58
