About the Image(s)

Another try at infrared at a little lake in Hot Springs Village, AR. Used my iPhone 14 Pro with a Hoya R72 infrared 67mm filter with magnetic holder on tripod. I edited in Lightroom to remove all color other than the red. Various adjustments in clarity, whites, blacks, cropping.

Besides the fascinating way you got there with the R72, the use of leading lines is great. It's novel to have a pink gazebo but would prefer it to be almost black to contribute to a monochrome winner?   Posted: 10/08/2026 20:50:37

Shirley, I am watching with interest as your journey into Infrared photography continues. Last month it was a pure IR landscape, this month we have spot colour included.
Where will this journey lead you?

Lovely image, Shirley. To me, it's all about the clouds in infrared and to that end, I would desaturate the gazebo a bit. I think you are finding your groove with your IR and phone photography. Keep at it!   Posted: 10/11/2026 19:14:41

Hi Shirley,

I love playing around with new styles of photography. The IR is so unique and interesting - that makes it fun to play around with.
Love the clouds. The Red gazebo adds another layer of interest.
I'm curious... With my big camera, adding a 720nm filter in front of the lens severely decreased my shutter speed. Did the same happen with your Iphone?   Posted: 10/21/2026 17:16:42

Shirley, This is an outstanding infrared photographic work. The foliage glows pale white against a moody sky, while the red roof stands out as a strong focal point, creating a dreamy, otherworldly atmosphere.   Posted: 10/22/2026 13:04:51
